Evening all. Where do you keep your bag with the tools and jack? Mine came in the boot, which was a pain so now there under the front passenger seat.looking for some foam or similar to put under the boot carpet that raises the floor a little then it'll go back with more tools.

Mine came from the factory with a screw fitting black plastic tray which holds all the supplied tools & also secures the spare wheel - as shown below (click on the picture to enlarge).

Hmmm.
Interesting review of the different types of tool storage in the Panda.
My first Panda, the 4x4 Climbing, had the tools embedded in a cumbersome block of polystyrene foam that sat right across the boot floor underneath the boot carpet.
My present Panda Cross has the tools in a large bag that I keep under the driver's seat.
My daughter's 1.1 Active has the plastic tray in the spare wheel shown above.
Why all the different arrangements?
Well, the 4x4s have greater ground clearance. On the Climbing the height of the jack was increased to allow for this by the provision of a large plastic block to sit the jack upon. The Cross has a taller jack, which means that it's wider when screwed down. Hence the spare wheel is not big enough to contain the tools for either arrangement.
But, why does the 100HP not have enough room in the spare wheel for its tools?
I await an explanation from 100HP owners for this anomaly.

How many points do I get for the correct answer?

Sadly, I have no explanation for this anomaly - my tool kit came in the dark grey bag and resides in the boot along with everything else:

Yes, I appreciate that it's additional weight, but I sometimes wash the car at my parent's so I need the bucket, change of clothes, etc.

Fiat seem to show the plastic tray layout on eper, mine's also like that. There must be a reason? What size spare comes on the 100HP?

The Panda 100hp comes with a Raleigh Chopper rear whel for a spare.

Have to say I was perplexed by the 'jack in a bag' thing when my 500 has the tray setup like shown for some Pandas.

I was only looking at it yesterday - cos the spare wheel is not mounted with the 'dish' side showing. Seems a waste. I was gonna flip it round, but got bored.

On my Eleganza the spare is 135/80 R13. Reckon that's too small for the 100hp?
It probably won't clear the brakes on the front, you'll need at least a 14-inch wheel for that.

The size of a space-saver spare isn't really that critical as long as it clears the brakes etc. since it's only meant to let you limp your car at low speeds to the nearest tyre shop.

Nevermind that I've seen people at 130kph on the motorways on space saver spares (n)

Well yesterday I took the spare wheel out laid a couple of old mf cloths in the well turned the wheel over then placed the jack into the wheel,it didnt fit but does now as I opened the jack a little. Took the car out for a test drive over rough roads (didn't need to go far, pick a road any road). No rattles to report.

Aaaah yes - I was curious about doing that. So it does work.

For the record the spare is 125/70x15..............slimmer than on the eleganza! A cheap bottle jack is probably a better option to fit in the space

Thing is - if that plastic jack kit fits on the Eleganza 14" spare it must surely fit on the 15 "
