Hi all, new to the world of fiat/motoring/modifying but looking forward to learning as much as I can.
I got myself a nice punto mk2 and everything is as basic as it possibly can be, apart from I ripped out the standard radio/cassette player and installed a half decent one.
I am planning on doing loads more to it, no engine modifications mind you, and I just wanted to clarify what the rules are on insurance.
I hear different things all over the place, some people tell me that modifying even small things and exterior styling makes your car more desirable and therefore more likely to be nicked so the insurance company charge more (assuming you tell them everything you modify) and other people tell me that it's only engine modifications that push the quote up.
What is the real rule please? And do you need to tell your insurance company about exterior mods at all?
Thanks
