anyone had symptoms of no dashlights, headlights, indicators, wipers, horn etc
i have had this problem on my uno45fire and a friends uno75,its strange as the hazards still work.
anyone with any of the above symptoms,i recommend the following:
remove the 3 screws from beneath the ignition panel and slide off the bottom plastic steering/ignition housing,on the back of the ignition barrel housing are 3 or 4 wires, turn on the indicators and wiggle the 4 wires on the back and see if this solves your problem.
if so,use a pair of pliers to crimp the metal terminals securely onto the housing.

i had the above symptoms and a fiat technician couldnt fix it!nor could another backstreet garage.
simpler than it sounds and have had no problems since!
good luck

Good stuff!
Yes, the ignition switch is critical.

I remember a friend's Uno with a special trick - the key had to be turned backwards slightly after starting the engine, or half the electrics (including the wipers and heater fan) wouldn't work. We changed the switch - twice! - with no difference. The problem was probably that it needed a different type of ignition switch. There are at least three different types out there, if you're ever trying to find a replacement. Sometimes a mere cleaning will suffice, or as you said, fixing the terminals.
