Hey Peeps,

I have been looking for camber bolts for ages for the cento, but monroe wanted £43, which I wasn't willing to pay at all!

But recently on FF someone have pointed me that Eibach do them for £16 quid!

"If you want more camber use camber bolts, they work and give upto 1.75° of extra camber. We have some on our Cinq Eibach ones work great.

Eibach do not list any for the Cento, but on cross checking Monroe "Magic Camber" bolts I found same part number was listed for Cento and Mk1 Clio's. So I bought a set of Mk1 Clio (90-98) Eibach bolts and they fit a treat.

At £16 they are a bargain compared to what some charge for them."

Anyway, they charge £12.50 for postage... was thinking if anyone is also interested, we can order together ???

Obviously I will pay it all, and we both pay the £12.50 postage then we both pay for the postage it cost to get them item to you!

Note, their FK range of suspension is at a very very good price, i think i might order a lowering kit for the cento as well!

LEt me know :) , if not i'll just make the order my self :)

lol, ah must have been reading the same stuff on FF. Was speaking to Venom today an likely to be ordering my FK 70/50 kit and camber bolts this week. Was thinking that with the 70mm drop on the front a bit of extra adjustment could come in handy. They have stock of the bolts and the FK would be delivered within the week.

If i can't find some decent second hand coilover, think that the set up am going for. hmm going with the 70/50 drop, if that your everyday car?

As for camber bolt you did tell them you need the renault mk1 clio bolts?

Ming

Hi Ming,

Yeah it's my once a week or if the wifes at work car lol. I mainly drive country lanes / motorways in it so not too many if any speedbumps. It's either the FK kit or the Venom 40mm vipertech dropshox kit which includes the powerflex bump stop/gaiters which are 50quid on there own. Both about the same price give or take, but fancy getting it as low as possible :D

The monroe camber bolts give +/-3deg adjustment, but can't find online suppliers for those. I thought the camber bolts would help to reduce excessive tyre wear with the large drop, cos my vw jetta suffered from that when ah dropped it. But that seems not to be the case as mentioned in the FF thread http://www.fiatforum.com/cinquecento-seicento/225634-suspension-top-mounts-2.html

Rich

Hmm don't think is as much as 3 degree, Does it allow for postive camber adjustment ? I guess, if you were to adjust it in a positive way then it could help reduce the tyre wear. To be honest if this is your once a wee kcar, then tyre wear shouldn't bother you :) .

Why not try asking venom, and see how much would they sell the bump stop for ??? (As far as i know the poly bump stop from power flex is not that expensive).

Do you know the bore size of the cento struct piston? Gonna measure them up tonight.

Ming

Cheers for the links ming, ah gave up searching last night cos ah couldn't find any others, forgot about europerformance :banghead: Was looking at these http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductDetail.asp?cls=ROAD&pcode=PFXBS009K&vat=inc av enquired with Venom about them an they asked what the bore size was. I've bin chatting with Clock34 on FF who is also fitting the FK kit at the minute an he's gona measure the piston bore an let me know.

I'd read the 3deg off this http://www.eu.tenneco-automotive.com/monroe/magic_camber.htm

Bin a tight git, tyre wear is always a concern with the price of cento tyres lol moving upto 14s with 195/45/14 on an there about 50quid a corner an hopefully when this is done al use the car a bit more :D

Make sure you are using 6j wheels and not 5.5j for the 195/45 tyres :) .

The monro cost £45 per set, as i phoned the distributor from glasgow. not really worth it considering venom does them for £16 + postage for a set.

The demon tweeks link, doesn't seem to have an option to select bore size? Am i missing something?

Ming

Yeah that's right, the tweeks ones doesn't ask for bore size so duno what ya'd end up with. Al look into the europerformance ones later, clock34 said that fiat ones were only 11quid a pair. Ah dina fancy paying 45quid when the eibach ones are good enough for 16quid.

Av got 6x14 Abarth Speedlines to go on thanks to scottgsi off here (y) Gona have 14s for summer an 13s for winter with sum proper winter rubber.

I'll got a pair of brand new fiat ones here, the problem is when you lower your car you really need shorten bump stop as well, else the suspensions end up just sitting on the bumpstop. So using the orginial ones you really need to cut them down which will reducwe the strength and they were never that strong to being with. Not really a good option.

Seems like a piar of poly bump is only around £19 posted, so is not that bad at all from europerformance. Just need the bore size now :D .

Ming

Might be worth a punt. You, me anyone else?

clock34 came back tonight an said the piston is 20mm diameter. Maybe arse about tit but, ah might try the FK's on the car before sortin out some bump stops cos will need to know the height as well to order from the large selection available from powerflex/europerformance.

Rich

Well if you are willing to go through the trouble :) . Why not use your old one, cut them to size, so you know what length you need.

Davewave or some on this site, he made a post about them in the technical section.

ming

cool, yeah that's what am thinking for now. Ad rather have a good plan ready before taking it all to bits an realising ah haven't got all right parts to put it back together. Ah know sum bits ya cana forsee but al sort that out when it happens lmao

Hi folks,

I spoke to Venom about a group buy. They couldn't reduce the price any as they're probably the cheapest anyways, but could look at free postage dependant on quantity. Looking to order mine early next week if anyone's interested?

Hmm that's rather soon :( , as said in pm , after wheels a bit tight at the moment, but was gonna do my rear bushes, so it makes sense to change the rear suspension too :p

I'll get back to you soonish :) Need to really think about justifying spending another £500 +!
