my tipos wipers have decided to pack up. both the front and rear dont work the fuses are fine and the motors are good when rigged directly to a battery so i dont know what the problem is the washers work on the front and back but the wipers dont go with that either. i think i might be the stalk because the rear window heater buton on the end dosnt work either. if it is this where can i find a new one to replace it.

1st thing i would try is the relay cant remember what one it is had this problem before on the fronts all i did was to take out and clean them [under the steering wheel panel pulls down] and they worked if it is the stalk tempra ones fit the tipo as well as lancia dedra ones ,just sold a set on ebay to . i take it there is no noise when you try to switch them on ,reson i ask is i have also had the nuts on the arms slacken off and the linkege fall off .good luck hope this helps
Only advice to you would be the check the wiring from the fuse box onwards.
Either the Fuse itself has gone or one of the wires has disconnected.
I'm presuming a set of wires goes from the stalk to the fuse box then from the fuse box to the other places.

i bipassed the switch and replace it with a swiched wire from a positive to the wiper motor wire but the weirdest thing happend now the stalk works and the switch is a master control for the power to the wipers i think it was somthing to do with the ignition problem i had which ment i had to replace the starter with a push button as the key turned the power on and the emobliser works but it wouldent start but i fixed that problem.

So someone gave the car Dodgy electrics probably the wire from the fuse box to stalk has been cut or has split somewhere.
