Would it let you start if it was left in gear? Or does it have a sensor so it doesn't even try? Would not be so smooth if car kangerood in a busy car park!

Hehe, well the way my one is fitted is so that when you turn the engine off, if the handbrake is not engaged it will not let you remote start. however if you do turn off the car with the handbrake up and for some reason leave it in gear (as some do) then it will try and start but the Handbrake should hold it back.

You can have a Mecury switch fitted to the Gearbox so that it will not start in gear, I was told EXPENSIVE so I left it seeing as I don't lend my car and don't ever park in gear.

Come in handy in those winter months where you dont want to actually be in the car while it warms up, can turn it on and literally forget about it. If you accidentally leave it on it will turn off after a set time (10mins Default) and while the engine is running the Alarm is still armed and doors still locked so if anyone should get the bright idea of trying to drive away on attempted break in the car will switch off and Immobilise itself and the Alarm will sound.

If for some reason they get in without setting off the alarm (impossible as even if they were to open the door with a key the alarm would activate) then they couldn't drive the car away as they would have no ignition key.

I'd love to be able to remote start my car / remote central locking etc. My punto isn't worth it, but my Brava would be!

If you know someone it is always cheaper.

Alarm was £100 off ebay, thats with everything. I forgot the best feature of this alarm is that its a pager alarm and the pager works very well... especially when the batteries are full

Installation was £300

But I'm sure you could probably get this done cheaper, if your skilled/patient enough you could try yourself????
