after peoples opinion on the tipo 16v,seen a nice 3 door one for sale but am in two minds about buying one as i have never really taken much interest in them,so if anyone knows any common faults or things to look out for for when i go to see it on saturday i will be very appreciative, cheers

save enough money to buy cams and a crank....its not if they fail its WHEN..!!!!!!

tell me about it!! :bang: .currently got one bent twisted conrod, knackered crank and dont really know why.lots of oil in engine, pressure spot on etc.suspect bearing has spun and seized.very hit and miss engines!!! :bang:

yep 9/10 its because of a shell that has spun....also cheap oil and poor servicing.

the worst thing is the engine has been fully built by a so called fiat expert 8000 miles ago,had 4 oil changes using selenia 20k in that time and still bent the con rod and melted the bearing to the crank!!!! :bang:

I've had my seidi for over 3 year now and it's done 134'000 on the original engine. It's always been ran on selenia fully senthetic oil and had an oil change about every 6'000 mile. Good engine if well looked after!

ive had three 5 doors now.is the 3 door any slower due to the diff cams and ecu.ive heard they are,is it true?
