Hello everyone

I own a 2001 mk2 Punto with the 1.2 8v engine and I've been getting a weird issue lately.

At times, for seemingly no reason, the revs won't drop when shifting (ie when i let go off the accelerator). Initially, I thought the idle control valve had failed but when I plugged the OBD2 reader it showed, at the time the problem was occuring, my throttle position was at 2-4% even though my foot was well off the pedal. So I did the first logical thing, cleaned the whole throttle body, in and out, but the problem persisted. After that, I bought a whole new throttle cable with both the cable and the black thingy I don't know the name of (I'm from Croatia) and still the problem was there.

One thing I did notice, however, is that if I unplug and plug the ICV connector, the problem would go away for a few hours, if that makes any sense.

I can drive like this but it is so freaking annoying and if it happens at a wrong time (like it did at my MOT) it can be uncomfortable, let's say (n)

If anyone can help in any way, I'd be very grateful! :slayer:
