I was thinking of getting a custom rear reg plate(cos I'm bored) and was trying to think of a good slogan to go on it, what do you think of this one:-

You've got to have the manufacturers stamp on it, I think, I also thought there was a letter limit along the bottom.

May be wrong. Also you're only in front until you get overtaken ;)

Someone best tell this company then because theirs don't have postcode on and don't mention a letter limit on the slogans!! So I could've paid 20 quid for an illegal plate?

Actually, just read the customer reviews and 'apparrently' the makers name, postcode etc ARE included on the plates...they just DON'T show up in the design process on the website!!

FAQ says they put those details on.

Just to add, the logos on the side also aren't legal, they have to be an 'approved flag'. The slogan on the bottom is also not legal as this is where their company name/post code goes.

How come the website lets you change the bottom writing then if it's gonna make it illegal:confused::confused::confused::confused:

and the flag colour etc :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

I can see a lot of people getting stung this way if it's not legal:eek::eek:

They would be 'show plates' I.e. for use off road.

Yep, that's why they don't ask to see your log book etc.

I've just bought some and just went to Halfords so that they were totally legal (they will tell you what you can and can't have). To get them you need the cars log book and your driving license. Also in Halfords their stamp on the bottom is tiny and see-through so it would be hard to tell you got them from there and avoid the embarassment of carrying their name.

These websites are just for show plates which may fail your MOT.
