Hi everyone,

Went to the Fiat garage yesterday and was very impressed. Booked a test drive, but I've got a few questions that I was hoping some of you could answer.

What is the standard Fiat sound system like? Is it worth paying £150 for the subwoofer option or is the Fiat subwoofer fairly lacking?

Some sites say it does 0-62 in 8.9, others 8.6. Can anyone confirm which is true? Finally, is this car fast enough to provide an enjoyable ride. When you put your foot down does it feel like Mini Cooper territory or does it go???

Many thanks,

Tom

Fiat Italy put the T-Jet at 8.9 across all specs, but fiatautopress.com put the lesser models with 15" wheels at 8.9 and the Sporting with the 17" wheels at 9.3.

Before you say that it sounds slow, remember that Fiat do their official acceleration times with 2 adults and 20kg of luggage.

i drive the 1.4 16v sporting, without a turbo, i did 0-60 in dead on 10 seconds and fiat say it does it in 10.9, u just have to rag the s**t out of it haha. theyre nice cars, i can only imagine the t-jet is even nicer to drive. Dont expect cushiony suspension though, its all sport spec so quite a stiff ride, but i love mine. go for it!

p.s - the soundsystem is OK. not worth paying £150 for fiats sub, buy your own and fit it, you wil be able to get a much higher quality one for £150 than what fiat can provide!

Feels faster than 8.9 to 60 when you launch it properly without TC on. Wouldnt like to comment on what the actual 0-60 is because it wont be accurate unless i got it on professional equipment and not just on my own stop watch. If you can get insured and can afford the extra then buy an abarth. Alot quicker overall than a Tjet ride is a bit harsher but if you can cope with that then your sorted :)
