As u might have read from my previous threads, I had bin experiencing jerk n judder issues on low gear with my 54plate punto. To say the least, a pain in the arse n makes u look like a tit lol.
So, for all of u experiencing this n just can't understand or sort it.here's what I did! Now my punto drives like knew!!
In the 1st instance, check the usual suspects...Coil packs, ht leads,spark plugs,change oil n filter, even drop in some tech4 fuel system treatment as well.
Still jerks? ok, throttle body then.Don't bother to clean it,just replace it. Yep,costs a small fortune, should sort it! However, very important, remember to 're-calibrate it into your cars ecu.this is done by an auto electronic expert.
Still doing it? Suprised tbh, oh well,change the crank sensor...once again calibrate.
Still doing it? seriously? check the entire exhaust for leaks.fiats don't warn u of these like other cars with eml light u til the leak gets to bad. However, can cause jerks if not fixed.
All these things either individual or together like mine will eventually sort that bloody jerk out lol.
My punto was on 105k wen it started.
I hope this will help u all with this issue, I'm happy to say that even tho a small fortune was paid out, buy doing all the above. The issue is sorted n my beloved punto drives like knew!!!
