Just read this on

The cruise date for the next show is the 25th of September. The surprise is that we've manage to attract National Car magazine - FastCar UK. This isn't a maybe, or we'll see if we can get there, they are a definate. This means that we can start to punt out leaflets with FastCar's logo on them for the September cruise. So that's the first thing. However, after calling a few companies and explaining that we had secured FastCar UK for the evening, many of the "big boys" now want to come and play. During negotiations the following companies were CONFIRMED as attending :

CRD - Calder Racing Developments - Specialists in engine tuning, imports and UK leaders in the car industry
The Garage - Bonnybridge - This is the specialist house that prep'd and showcased John Galt's blue CRX Del Sol which made an appearance at the last few cruises
The Garage - Wishaw - The Daddies!!! Skylines and Supras which are regularly seen at Crail, Santapod, etc.
SG Bodyworkx - The Irvine based lads are taking the trip up to see us with something extra special. They have been working on a project car for a number of months with a goal of getting it in as a cover car to FastCar UK. They are set to officially unveil the car to the public at our show!
DPC - Dicksons Performance Centre (aka Dicksons of Dunblane). Distributors of quality Import cars such as Skylines, Evos, Scoobies, GTOs, etc.
The Bodyworkx Ltd - - Based in Paisley, this bodyshop and prep centre are confirmed as bringing down a few demo cars for us to drool over
UndergroundGraphics.com - Chris has confirmed he will bring one of the cars up on the evening.
Modified Car Services - A specialist in Modified car Sales and tuning. Based in Central Belt, they are confirmed as attending the cruise
Semtech Motors - Tuning specialists are confirmed as definates for coming along
DC Motorsport - Tuning garage that has a knack of throwing some very quick little cars together (Clios, Novas, Pugs, Saxos, etc.) Confirmed as definates for the evening

All of the above, I must stress, have confirmed that they are definately coming. Below are some that are still considering whether or not to turn out for the event :

TRD - Unconfirmed
FRP Bodykits - Maybe
Ripspeed - Unconfirmed
Scottish Custom Painters - Unconfirmed
Xtreme Autoz - Unconfirmed
Greer Motorsports - Unconfirmed
Eastside Performance - Unconfirmed
Thistle Motorsport - Not Coming

We will of course welcome our usual sponsors of Autocruisers as well as a few more local sponsors such as Cool Advantage, Salon Services, KickBack, Spotless Valeting and Grimestoppers. This list IS GROWING. If you own a company or are involved with a company that wants to take part in the BIG one, get in contact with our Events manager on mailto:[email protected].

So i'm sure you'll agree that for a part-time "free" event such as our car shows, we are starting to really pull together. This one will be our big send off to summer 2004. To my knowledge there is no other local cruise scene with as much on offer without an entry fee.

Throw this in with the trouble that's happening at Strathy park at the moment, and we have the potential to attract those that are now looking for a new outlet to show off their cars.

Honestly, we are too good to you lot sometimes!!!!!

Anyone interested in maybe going to this?

Cool 8) Would be good if ya's could

Sounds as if there's gonna be a fair few ppl coming from all over the place, i know peeps from cruise-ayrshire are gonna come up for it. Should be another good night! :D

Us Cruise-Ayrshire lot will be there again, but probably "in force" rather than the 4 cars we had up on Saturday!

Were you there on Saturday mechelle?

I seemd to have the only Mk1 Punto there! And I only saw one other Punto...a Mk2!

Nah...i never made it as i didn't get my car back from the garage till after 8 o'clock at night (was in for it's m.o.t) .........then i had the girls round for a party, but i'll certainly be there for this one tho :D ....just hope i get a parking space

Will be good to see your car :D

I am game, that should be like my first weekend in glasgow so would be a good start!!!

Somebody would need to show me the way tho, not so hot on the roads down that way yet!!!

Jon

Jon, its is really easy to get to Greenock from Glasgow. Just head West along the M8. Keep going straight through all the roundabouts and you'll eventually get to where the Cruise is held!

Mechelle, we'll be heading up very early from Ayrshire, we are expecting a mass convoy, and all want to get parked together!

I think it looks like everyone (us lot included) is up for this...so...

Why not make this the second F-S meet?! As suggested, we can do a mass convoy on the road down, the Aberdeen lot meeting the Dundee/Perth lot en route etc...

Convoy is so much fun in itself! C-O-N-V-O-Y!!!!

Update

Looks like I got a 65th birthday/ruby anniversary/ retirement to goto that night. Lots of Jimmy Shand etc for me then. Oh the joys!

So I wont be able to go after all :( Gutted :(

Still, might see some elderly relatives drunk! Worst part is I cant drink cos Im working that night (LITERALLY across the road from where the party is :( and i'll be playing taxi!)

Bit of a shitter :(

I know there are a few of us going to this, it would be good for the site if the on's that are going meet up and hand out some flyers and stuff!! Also would be good or some more photo's!

So we can see who is going, post yae, or nae below!!!

We can find out if enough folk are gonna be there!!!

Jon
