Can anyone tell me how the hell I replace the wiper blades on my Tempra!? I don't think I'm stupid, but I just can't work them out. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Ben.

Hi Ben,

Depending on which Tempra (first series or last series) you have to remove a small screw and afterwards, slide the blades outwards. If that doesn't help, let me know. I'll see if can send you a scan from my Tempra manual.

Hello Tempramental,

Thanks for the tip, but I can't seem to find a screw anywhere on the wiper arm. My Tempra is a later one (1995), so if you can help in any way then please let me know.

Thanks a lot.

Ben.

My Tempra is an early 92 unit. I simply take the car to my Fiat Garage and ther do the job, because (almost here, in Spain), you can't find the spare part in any other place.

Best Regards.

I had a tempra 1.6sx. The wiper arms have to be removed of their spindles, first.then slide out the old rubber blades. Then slide back in the new blades and re -assemble.
Note. the blades should be marked up left or right, as their is a slight difference in length
Note. before removing the wiper arms, tape newspaper to the windscreen. Mark on the newspaper the position of the wiper blades.
This will ensure that when you put the wiperarm back on. they will go back in the the correct position

You need to remove the plastic cover on the base of the wiper arm, that then allows access to the shaft.its a tricky process of aligning since the radius on the RHD cars either ends with the wiper swinging and knocks the door...or the vent!
just rotate the shaft by one notch at a timewhen you think it may be right accordingly
