have a 97 td100 with 146k.
It starts first turn and runs like a car of its age should!

Problem is:the injector light comes on and of at different times. The car isnt loosing power or missfiring at all.
I have used injector fluid and have emptyed the filter incase of water.

All the posts i've searched seem to be about the petrol injector.
has this happened anyone with a diesel?

injector light

My Bravo TD 100 is fine. The glow plug light illuminates and goes out when it should. Don't know enough to suggest anything, sorry.

Re: injector light

yeah the heater light works fine but that isnt the problem:-(

If someone could look in the manual about this light on the diesel it would maybe tell me a bit more about it.....my one is missing!

Sorry, just looked in the haynes manual to see if i can find anything but its not listed...(Petrol Bravo/a's only)

it usually meas that there is a fault with the injector(s). it doesent say anything in the cars handbook (the one that comes with the car), but most posts on the injector light mean that it is a fiat dealer jobby. which will use the code reader (allegedly). alternatively try angel tuning, thay tune diesels although i know that they cannot tune the 1.9 (non J)td but might be able to link it up to a code reader for a few less notes than fiat.
sorry nothing more helpfull.

I have a P reg 1.9TD Brava,152000 miles on the clock.I have had the car for a year now and the injector light has always came on and off, sometimes it can go weeks without coming on and sometimes it comes on every day usually for about 30 seconds,i go to Edinburgh a few times a year and that is about 350 miles from where i live,i have never had any problems because of the injector light,i was worried when it first happened but now i don't bother. You'll probably be OK.

From the handbook:- 'Brief flashes of the warning light are normal and have no significance'.
Apparently it only matters if it stays on after start-up or comes on and stays on while driving.

well i suppose its a case of "if it aint broke dont fix it"
@ramblingjack
as you said ill probably be ok as it seems to be running fine.
Thanks to all who responded(-:)
