There are 3 for the 4x2 depending on year and VIN number:
7534293, 7598698, or 7598694.

not got car... and Reg doc. is with car (for MOT)
but it's N Reg CLX...
...but found an old MOT
VIN is
ZFA141A 000 1092460

For that VIN number it shows 7598694. The car was produced in June 1994

Asked which part no. it was and they said they don't give part no's out!

Well I'd like to know why they don't give out part numbers
I went to our not so local dealship in Yarmouth, and got quotes of all the front bumper brackets, and they we're more than willing to print off a sheet with diagrams and part numbers, dad went 'that's impressive' till I pointed out that the same ePer system is available on the forum

Exactly, as last time they faxed through ePer printouts to try and establish the correct part no. for the engine/transmission mounting.
Maybe they are afraid you'll use part no. and get a lower quote from another Fiat dealership (?)
I got 'unavailable' for the shock absorber mounting rubbers, when they are in fact available in packs of 8 elsewhere (says he, as this was a year ago)
I think some dealerships just can't be bothered!

Strap ass. has arrived (part no.7598694) just parted with £42.29!!!
Alas 'tis only mild steel an' all. I was sort of expecting it to be a spring steel with the 'surplus fold' to front mounting.
:idea: I think a 'how-to' for making one (in thicker gauge steel) would be a good idea. I should make a template before dispatching it off to Derby...
