symptoms for gearbox problems

hi i have a 1.2 bravo , new plate
and was wondering that it had gearbox probs/..

if so how would you know that is the case

rather then just thnkign it is just a clutch issue?

also what costs do you think will be incurrred?

First change the oil in the gearbox !!!!!
How old is it anyway ?

Simptoms - crunching when getting in to gear (can be the clutch also)
cant get into gears
all kind of noises from that area
a lot of metal residue in the gb oil. . . .

its 5 years old
its not gettign into gear very rarely

hardly noise

but it seems that people will find it hard to tell if its eeither a clutch or gearbox prob

how do i bleed the oil?

My gear change has been shocking since i got the car.. Just over a year has gone by and it's not got any worse.
