Technical Switching back and forth between ECUs ?

Hello,

I was wondering if it's OK to switch back and forth between two ECUs ?

The original 2005 ECU had problems so I got another one, a virginized 2008 ECU, which is currently installed.

But I got a call from the local Fiat dealership, inviting me for a test, after I complained about the problem with the original ECU.

Is it OK if I switch back to my original ECU for a day, so they can test it on the car, then go back to the new one ?

Other than the calibration procedure (rev the engine 3 times to over 4000 rpm) is there anything I should do ? Will there be problems when I switch back ?

Might not work, might have to get ECU replaced or revirginised. Who knows

No problem, i did that many times......

I can confirm it too ... I swapped them several times now and there are no problems
