hi guys i want swap my uno mk2 engine 1.0 model 1998 to tipo 1.4 engine.
so is this will be ok or not for its body and is ther any modifying needed to do it?

Agree with the above, plus there is an Uno you can get with the Tipo's 1.4 motor anyway - it's called the 70SX (5-dr) and is all-round nicer than the 1.0 base model. Have a look for one, take it for a drive, and see what you think. Otherwise, stick with the 1.0 FIRE, one of the best engines FIAT made and quite a bit more economical than the 1.4 as well as being lower maintenance.

1.2 (1242cc) would be a good upgrade as that is easier to fit in place of the 1.0. But even that might not be worth the trouble unless you happen to have a 1.2 lying around. From a brand-new FIAT 500, say :)

In fact after i read the uno catalog i found that the motor on uno 1.4 Motor is the same to Tipo 1.4 with different gearbox only
I asked the mechanic and he say he can put it in my car on the gearbox of the 1.0 and he will work well
But I'll need an Anti-roll bar

and i live in egypt and we dont have any uno 70sx the only uno here is uno 45sx and thats car what have
and i found in the Market for Used Parts an Half uno car with its motor and i want buy it with its all parts and fit it in my uno 45sx

It´s not only the engine. You´ll need the bigger driveshaft for the frontwheels. The ECU and Digiplex. Exhaust System is totally different.
Wiring may also alter. In my opinion you´ll need a donor UNO,at least .

By the way, I´m starting a business in Egypt, maybe I can help some day.

ye thats right i was not know that i go this day to buy that motor and when i know all that changes i changed my mind and i'll do what alx say i'll fix my old motor and keep it
thx all for time :)
