Suspension is hard... & clutch bite high,is this normal on a sporting?

Hello guys

Only have my lovely Punto Sporting MK2 for a week.

I am trying to get used to driving it. I find is so easy to stall it :p

Also the suspension is quite hard, (not that i am complaining) just checking that this is ok.

I am comparing this all to my previous car which was a Ford Puma, then drove round in my moms Fiesta while searching for a new car (y)

Thanks in advance :)

Yes it is! you get used to it. feeling every little stone in the road

Ok thanks guys! :D

How about the stalling it, the clutch bite point seems quite high, maybe i will need a new clutch soon :(

It really is fun to drive though, i am loving it!

I had a 1.7 Puma, not the racing Puma... Gorgeous but sooooooo exspensive to buy and fix! (n)

I really loved the Puma and was hard to sell it but i just thought about money saving, tax and insurance. Plus I started to see the dreaded rust appearing on the arches which they suffer really bad :(

Thanks for the replies (y)

Agreed it's normal.I needed quite a lot of time to get used to it , as they really are stupidly stiff , especially at low speeds..Every time I hit a bump , I felt like the suspension would break...About the handling , I believe that it's more of an idea than reallity.I've driver many cars that handle way better , without this extreme low speed harshness!!They were more expensive though...
As for the clutch , 3 months after I bought the car I still hadn't got completelly convenient with it. Maybe mine has a problem..I've noticed that it changes a lot when the city button is on/off(due to the fact that the ECU is programmed to deliver less power with the CITY on) and it get hot and smelly very easily!Every time I park...Never broke down, though(y)
