Sunroof problems

Help, I dunno if any of you have this problem, however i own a Fiat Bravo 115 Hlx. I can open my Sunroof to Tilt, but when i return it to the locked position it carries on past it and slides under the roof and vice versa. Is it supposed to stop when it becomes level with the roof or do i always have to fiddle with it until its level with the roof??

I had the exact same problem with mine, unfortunately for you it was under warranty and the garage did not explain much about it. It only took them 30 minutes or so to identify the problem parts though.

Position

Its sounds like your sunroof position indicator is shot. It is seperate from the control unit, but I cant find a part no. for it. If you trace the wires coming out of the control unit from pins 7 and 5 you should find it (let me know the part no!)

I dont have a sunroof so I cant go out and look!

With the weather getting better and brighter alot of you are finding the same problems however i've still not resolved my problem with whats wrong with the sunroof, however i'll try ring Fiat but they dont know much about how the cars work so i guess we'll wait for someone who does know. I have tried using the Haynes Manual but it says nothing about fixing the problem just removal.

I have sorted my problem with the Sunroof, i took the light unit out of the roof and i found two wires, one red and the other blue, they're located near the motor for the sunroof. They maybe different on your car. I found that the casing had split on the blue wire which caused a bad connection. After straightening out the wire, (I should actually replace the wire) i tried my sunroof and it works great.

I suggest before you buy a new control unit for the sunroof, that you check your wiring for any damages or broken connections. The Red and Blue wire seem to be for the Locking of the sunroof.

By the way, there are only 5 pins on the back of the Sunroof Switch.
