Technical Sunroof leak

l have a Multipla 2002 and everytime it rains waters leaks into the car via the front on the sunroof controls and also onto the rear driver side passenger seat. Went to Fiat and they said the seal is letting in water and it overflows into the car via sunroof controls and rear sunroof - they cannot repair will only replace the whole sunroof for nearly £1500. Any advise please!!!!
