Does a strut brace make a noticable diffrence to the handerling on a seicento and wheres the cheapest place to get one. also does the seicento sporting strut brace fit the seicento sx.

I found that my strut brace did make a little difference. Did keep the car a little more planted and prevented a little body roll and flexing.

Id say you wont notice too much difference unless you had a lower one but due to traffic calming measures, watch out for your sump.

Todger182 has a second hand strut brace for sale, as yours is an MPI it normally wouldnt fit but without the airbox it should be fine (i think)
If you want one a new one best place to get one is www.strutbracer.co.uk

A sporting (MPI) strut brace would fit an SX (MPI) however some strut braces are designed to bypass the ABS box if the sei sporting has ABS fitted

If you find one that was fitted to a sei with ABS the strut brace wont fit your car

Any other scenarios (MPI engines) it should be ok

SPI ones do not fit your car

after i fitted the 1242 in mine i ran around for a day or 2 with out a brace on and the car wandered all over the road and the roll and understeer was dangerous, i put the upper brace on and it tightened everything up and understeer was almost nil, but still there, i have now fitted my lower brace (sacrificed ground clearence) and for the first time driving my car i am now geting a touch of oversteer but that will be sorted when i fit my poly bushes in the back (thing i have a dead bush lol)

imho they are one of the best mods todo but there again thats me lol

buy one and try it, everybody drives differently and the same mod can be different for everyone
