Can't believe it, top strut bearing gone already in less than a year.

probably not if you have fitted non standard wheels or suspension parts, depends if dealer is nice or not though

They fitted the original one's with the 17;s on. and i have standard suspension set up.

Yep. bearing knackered.
Dealer waiting to here back from fiat on next coarse of action, ie, what the warranty is on the part itself.

If I remember right, when I have mine done, about 10 month ago, providing you make a small payment towards the total, the warranty offered by Fiat is 2 year on parts and labour. Mine was done at my Fiat Dealer. If you make no payment, I've an idea its 12 month on the part, but not 100% sure on that.
Perhaps your replacement was 'old' stock, i.e., the part which was fitted was out of the spares department where it had been sitting for some time. The conversion kit/new part kit includes a thick rubber pad which sits on the very top of the strut, just below the wing, visible from the top with ease. Mine I know was brought in from Fiat Tec in Italy, as the new kits at this time were not available off the shelf in the u.k.
