stilo stereo help

i have just bought a pioneer deh-1300mp and gone to fit it. i have even used a wiring harness to try and make it work. however nothing happens.

ignoring the speaker plug,

the other plug has a red +12v black 0v and two others what are the pink/white wires 0vdc and the pink/black which normall shows 4.4vdc but when the ignition has been off for a while it creeps up to 12vdc

any help would be great or have i got a faulty head unit ?

Unplug the red bullet and put it into the spare yellow.

i tried all connetations of connections and cannot get the unit to come on. i am thinking the head unit does not work. i would have thought plugging a perminant live into the live on the head unit should fire it up. but nothing at all.
