stereo problems any help?

i currently have two 10" subs and have just been given a 12" when i put the 12" in all my bass is lost. i know you're not meant to mix sub sizes but the 2 10" are in enclosures and the 12" is not enclosed. if i enclosed it would they work together or is it not even worth trying to mix the sizes?
any ideas/suggestions would be great. i'll try and get a pic up later today to give you more of an idea.
