got a 54 plate punto sport active, just took the tevion cd player from my y reg punto and plugged it in, to find the red light flashes when the cd face is taken off the cd player wont work when you put the face back on. put the stereo back in the y reg one and it still works. any ideas anyone.

Had the same problem when I moved my Sony stereo from my car to the lorry. I did a factory reset of the stereo and it works fine now. The reset is usually a small hole or depressed button behind the facia plate. A biro nib should do it. Press and hold for 10 seconds (some are 3,5,7 etc so 10 to be sure) and try again. You will lose all the radios settings though and stations.
