Stereo not switching on!

Hi guys,
I have recently bought myself an 04 plate Fiat Punto Active Sport, I have gone to fit my JVC Stereo that I had from my old car.
I bought the correct wiring harness from Halfords and fitted it all correctly like I have done a couple of times in the past both on my own cars and also on mates cars.
I have done everything correctly from what I can see but the stereo still wont switch on...
I have checked the wires are all connected to correctly, and I have checked the fuses and they are all ok.

I have checked everything that I know to look out for.

Does anyone have any advice for me that I may of done wrong or something that I may of missed after all I have never done a stereo on a Punto before.

The stereo or harness will probably have bullet connectors on the red and yellow wires, try swapping them around

The punto harness doesn't actually do anything. The woman from connects2 did explain why they sell one but I forget.
Anyway remove it. Unplug the red bullet on the head units harness and plug it into the spare yellow.

Thanks guys for getting back to me so quickly.

I have swapped the red and yellow wires as this is what was pointed out my a couple of my mates and it is something I have had to do before on a couple of my mates cars. But the dam thing still wont work. I have no idea why it wont turn on now.. it is really bugging me. :bang:

Did the vehicle have a stereo before you got this one, and if so I presume it worked ok? Have you checked fuses? Got a multimeter?

Good news! I have managed to get it to switch on now but the screen says Loading... then switches back off. I have even managed to get it to eject the CD that was inside it.

The stereo I am trying to use is a JVC KD-R411 if anyone has used one of those before.
I am starting to think that it was damaged ether when I rolled my old car or while I was taking it out of the wreckage of my old car.
