Grande Punto Stereo Issues

Hi all, I have a Kenwood aftermarket stereo fitted to my 2006 Grande Punto and have noticed that the controls on the steering wheel (to increase/decrease volume & change track/station) do not work now? Is this standard with an aftermarket stereo or is there some faulty wiring involved? Some help on this would be brilliant!

It depends how it was connected, if it was done with ISO cables and a patch lead for the head unit the controls should work, you need to either ask the installer or remove the HU and have a look for additional wires and interfaces between new HU and original car harness. You can swop in the old unit and test if the controls still work also. If it's been properly fitted it is all plug and play so it is easy to try the old unit.

If it wasn't already installed (incorrectly, otherwise it'd work) you need Connects2 part number CTSF004 and the appropriate patch lead (Kenwood in this case). Search ebay, should cost no more than £40.
