I have a 1996 Ducato with an odd steering problem. Sometimes first thing in the morning when driving, the van pulls quite hard to the left for a while until I have done a few turns. The brakes do not appear to stick or get hot it seems to correct when the steering wheel is turned hard clockwise and then back to centre. The camber of the road is not a factor.Any ideas please?

Front bushings or top strut bearings.

Front bushings are very cheap easy fix hacksaw the flange off the old ones and they push out easily. Grease the new bushing and if you dont have a press use a long bolt / threaded bar and large washers to pull the new bushing into place.

Top strut bearing require large spring compressors and some of the shocks have no allen or flat on the top bolts making it a real pain to change them.

Thanks for that getting it done next week. Took it to a garage when it got suddenly worse, they said the same as you. Thanks again.
