my bravo wont start sometimes when i switch it off,i get nothing but silence. The keycode goes out just a little click behind the dash,it seems like theres no power going to the starter.I can leave it for about an hour and it will start then off the key,or bump it straight away when this happens, but it is annoying.

I had this problem with my 1.4SX, took it to the garage, £80 for replacing the faulty crankshaft sensor (this also included labour from sparky)(I think).

Have had no problems since.

Do you get lights on the dash before you turn the key? Do they all go out when you turn the key, like a complete loss of power? If so then check your battery connections. Could be a high resistance connection from the battery.

Otherwise it might be a starter solenoid on the way out. Don't know if these are integral to the starter motor or are separate on these cars.
