Hello. I'm new to Fiat Forum, so be gentle with me!
I have owned a 1997 1.9TD since year 2000, and its a fantastic vehicle, except for the usual things:
Imobiliser problem, caused mainly by the wires behind the keypad (one by one) breaking due to the fatigue caused by opening and closing the keypad itself.
(does anyone know if the wires are part of a sub-loom or is it just a case of bodging each wire?)
An interesting question is that we went at least 5 years without having to enter the code, then one day the car decided that we had to put the code in again !
Crap starting in cold weather (we have to put a set of glow plugs in every year!)
Does anyone know why?
ps the wife wants me to scrap the car, so i need to get it fixed urgently - Help!!!
