sometimes my car fires up sometimes it dont and i have to jump it. the battery has been tested and its 97% so thats fine any ideas

There's your answer then I'm afraid. Get it serviced and you'll probably solve the issue. Cars need servicing regularly to keep them running. My guess is it probably needs new plugs but it may have other issues if you can't remember when it was serviced.
Should be about the £150 for a good service on a 1.6, maybe less.
