The Ford EcoBoost engine is meant to have post shutdown turbo cooling. It'd be needed on that engine too as it runs exceptionally hot.
 
It sounds a sensible measure. The engineering nerd in me would be interested to know how they do it.
 
By START/STOP you mean the engine turning off and on in traffic, right? I don't have this option in my car. Maybe it's just been disabled? How do I check?

EDIT: Never mind, stupid question. The car is from the US and most likely they don't bother with this option for the US market.
