Standard Airbox System

hi chaps,

Just a quick question im off, to the scrap yard later to look for a standard airbox.

Does it it matter if the airbox is off a 1.4 or 1.6 etc i have a 1.2 on a 1999 plate, i want rid of the induction kit the noise is peeing me off, at worst ill buy a new airbox from fiat for 124.12 plus vat obviously i dont want too.

1.4 has a different airbox, I believe the rest may be compatible though.

I know the 1.8 and JTD airboxes are the same, however the 1.6 one is different, the 1.4 is different. Not seen a 1.2 one so not sure. Joske

the 1.4 box is on the left of the engine bay... the rest are on the right...

Went to the scrap yard and got a airbox and the pipes attached for £25 its one off a 1.2 so no issues as to whether its the right one, saved 120 quid so well chuffed!
