Hi all I am looking to get a stainless steel exhaust system and have come across one called super Sprint! Looks really good but best part of a£1000 for the full system! Including the manifold!! Is this a good one?
Many thanks Duffish

If it's our Italian friends, it'll be a good system. However, it's one hell of a lot of money. Most of any improvement (which won't be exceptional without other work, but such is n/a tuning) will come from the manifold -- you can often pick them up for less than £200 second hand.

If it's a Sei, there's someone on the Wirral doing cat backs in stainless for less than £200 (SPI ones, I think.) Blu has one IIRC.

It's a cinquecento sporting! And it is the Italian one! Not bothered about the performance side more a good sound and a long life so that's why I have gone the stainless system!

There are a few companies around that will make a custom exhaust for less than that. I've just had one made for my Alfa.....cat back in stainless was £260, and it has a lifetime warranty. The other good thing with a custom exhaust is that they can even customise the sound....I didn't want it too "deep"...so they fitted a different box, and now it sounds proper "italian":D

Cybox on my sei, its rebranded Peco stuff. Still looks great, shiniest part of the car lol.. Would only need to mod the rear hanger to fit on a cinq no not massive deal. I paid about £150 for it off ebay. You still have the oem cat section to replace though if you want full system.

Here is pic of it

search for 'cybox seicento' on ebay, should bring it up

edit: just another note, i made offer and got it cheaper than advertised - iirc i basically got the postage price off.

all in one brand you really only have supersprint as an option i think. Supersprints are good if you get the proper stainless stuff, the cheaper coated ones don't seem to last that well with our salted roads.

janspeed used to make a full system with a 421 but don't think they have made that for eons now. Can't fault the rear boxes at all though, mine still looks like anew exhaust and i've had it on 3 cars over so many years i can't remember. I it wasn't new when i got it.

Thanks that's the route I will take then ! Best find that credit card! Lol

Would have liked a full janspeed !! Well worth the cost if thay last so long! 3 cars!!! Impressed!!! :worship:

I spoke the chap at Cybox about the possibility of making the Sei system but without a fancy tailpipe and he said he'd do it, I was unsure if it would fit a Cinq though. Looks like it should be a relatively straight forward fit so I might go for it.

Thanks all but the manifold is the hardest part to find! Cat back is lots to choose from but want complete system all with one brand!! (y)
there is company in lancashire selling punto stainless manifold for £148 on ebay looks good and if your getting a system made on the car they could do any mods while fitting the system (maybe worth a look)
