Hello, I'm just changing my Brava 1.6SX brake pad. The anti-rattle spring is so hard to pull out! Anybody know any trick other than spraying 4WD?

The plier won't bite the spring, slip off all the time. Is it okay to slip in screwdriver and pull it out against the caliper?

yeah that would work make sure u put the plier right next to where the spring goes into the caliper tho because that'll be the stongest point so less chance of bending.

transmission oil gauge

moving on to the next subject (whilst trying to pull out the spring) does the car need to be level to check the transmission oil gauge? cannot be just the front wheels that required to be raised?

Always check any lubricant and fluid levels with the car ON THE LEVEL

Overfilling will cause damage
