Anyone heard of this:
*High density rigid closed cell urethane foam can be injected into various hollow parts of a monocque chassis to provide addtional structural strength. For example, a foam filled frame rail becomes much more rigid and resists flexing. Carefully done, urethane foam injection can yield higher chassis strength without the excessive weight from using metal structures.
Caution: urethane foam once set is permanent. In case of an accident, the foam cannot be repaired and it my be necessary to replace the entire panel that was foam injected.*
Heard it also improves the ride and gives better sound insulation. Ideal for ICE!
