You sure about that

I recall adjusting the pointer on my MK2 SX pods to read 0 mph when stopped, then the Speedo became out :bang:

Chas told me that they are set so as they can't really work below about 5 mph it's just the way analogue Speedos work

put mine back and it's been OK ever since. The original base one used to stick and wouldn't go below about 10mph, without lightly thumping the dash :devil: perhaps yours is the same.

The one on my MK1 has no pin…

That's the speed the earth is rotating so your speedo picks that up and reads 5 - 10 mph.

Don't be silly. The speedo will read minus 5 - 10mph if you do that

My speedo hit -60 miles an hour yesterday going down the motorway! :O

The needle was actually pointing at the floor.

Which reminds me, I really do need to get my speedo properly fixed
