Hi all, put my mh into a fiat garage in Thetford, picked it up and found that the speedo was not working.. and the glow plug warning light was flashing, of course they denied doing anything, saying it was like that when i brought it in, but it wasnt.. anyway, thought it was the fuse, so changed it, it blows as soon as you turn the ignition key to live/start dont need to start the engine, it blows straight away.. so whatever they did, they caused a short to the speedo wiring.. other fuses in the block are not blowing. any ideas? or a wiring diagram for an 04 plate 2.8 diseal???

Are you referring to fuse F11, in the engine bay fusebox?

If so try disconnecting the oil vapour heater.

You should be able to find several references on this forum.

Hi Tom,

I have a little bit more time now, and I am attaching a photo of a 2.8 JTD engine. This photo was kindly provided by forum member IceVovo in a PM, and has the intercooler pipes removed.

Close to the lower RHS corner of the photo there is a cuboid plastic box (oil vapour separator) with a smooth surfaced pipe leading almost to the corner, and connecting with the air inlet hose, post filter. The oil vapour heater is teed into the smooth pipe, with the connector facing downwards.
