ey up need some advice on my Bravo.

I only have the 1.2 16v and can't afford to insure owt bigger, anyways apart from an induction kit is there anything worth doing to the engine to boost the power? a remap will give about 10 BHP at most?

my mate had a 1.2 clio and he had a 50shot on his for a year and it never whent wrong once, he only sold it on to buy a bigger car and i believe its still running around now.
i wouldnt go no bigger than 50 though and id start off with 25 so you ncan get used to it.

you do REALISE that with all these things in mind that your gonna have to tell the insurance about the things your doin to you car, a re-map you`ll definiteley have to mention and with Nos as it can be dangerous to use that will bump up your insurance big time, and if you don`t tell the insurance about thses mods, well run the risk, have an accident, and the insurance won`t want to know,

Which to me implies that insurance to do with these mods will be a factor as well.

To answer the guys question though he could put in a sporting punto gearbox to give better bottom end acceleration due to the different gear ratios, andy_sx did this iirc.

Good servicing, good air filter etc all help to keep it tip top. Suspension upgrade might allow you to take corners etc quicker thus not loosing so much speed form deceleration or braking. As will the correct tyre choice and a sensible set of alloys, too big and you'll kill speed.
