Hi guys!

I'm about to try avoiding an issue I have on my modified Punto. My sport ECU has a limit in reading the speed pulse input, this translate into a speed indicator error at about 100 mph where my display start to indicate backwards. The ECU producer already told me that 16 pulse per meter it's a too high frequency output, I've the short it at least of 50%.

I've spent the last year searching data about Fiat speed transucers, but it's almost impossible to get out of it.. Most of them seems to be 16 pulse/revolution but maintenace manuals are known to be wrong from time to time.

e.g. on the Coupè it's said that "the tachometer sensor is geared so that there is an output of one pulse per meter" by the way this is clearly impossibile if the sensor is a 16 pulse/revolution, no gearbox has a 16:1 reduction from the diff to the sensor shaft!

So my question is, is there someone of you that measured once a speed sensor and noted the pulse ratio?
