Spark Plugs :s

Hi peeps,i thought id have a look at the condition of my plugs and clean them up hoping my car will run a bit better...
To my shock,4 had oil on them and 1 was covered in it i.e drippin :S
I cleaned them all up and they seemed quite new to me,the contact points seemed fine.I cleaned all inside where they sit in.Is this just down to too much oil in the car? Ive looked at my dipstick and cant get a proper reading.
I took it for a drive once i were done and it never stalled once and it ticked over nicely.
I was hoping to get the injectors off aswell but i cud not get the fuelrail off as the torx screws were too close to the engine,would i need to take the rocker cover off to do this?

it will be the rocker gasket..mines done it for over 4 yrs

will it? I didnt think that would be the cause.Also wen i started it up,blue smoke out? i take it the valve stema are on their way out?

mine has been diagnosed via fiat, when i bought the car..but its never been done because it wont cause any problems

Every time i take plugs out there are about 2 that have oil covered and i mean covered

When starting from cold and you are getting blue smoke then gets less as engine warms up suggests valve stem seals have had it. Could also be the cause of plugs oiling up cos although the blue smoke has lessened there is still oil getting into the cylinder via the valve stem seals. The reason it is thicker smoke from cold is that oil has got past the seals and collected on the pistons, all gets
burnt off in the first few seconds of running

ah right get ya,Thanks.That probably explains where my oil leak is comin from..
and yer its only wen i 1st start the car,was thinkin it was the stem seals as ive had this problem on a few old escorts ive had in the past.
Oh 1 more thing,i noticed the cam cover is attached to the rocker cover,well it looked like it is? Will i need to take that off aswell just to take the rocker off? Not had a crammed engine bay b4,ive only had fords cvh's and were so easy to do lol

check ur oil mate, see if there is any mayo, that tells me ur head gaskett is gone...

If they didnt want it stripping they shouldnt have used nuts and bolts

1st thing i checked pal,its fine.Just dark black oil lol...Gona give it engine flush on sat.
