General Diesel Spare key

I have a 2017 Fiat Ducato 295 Maxi 35 and looking to get a spare key with remote. I have a full copy of ECUMultiScan which I believe I can program keys with, but I dont have the security CODE card that has the codes on. Will I need that as every dealer I speak to says they cant get it for me.

i think you can code them off an existing key.

This guy can clone a key i.e. it is a second key exactly the same as the original. I believe he needs access to the vehicle to complete the programming. He attends most of the large Warner motorhome shows. It could be worth asking him. I remember reading that UK customers don't get a CODE card by default (for insurance/safety reasons) but can request their code from Fiat when needed, not sure what is the current practice.

Possibly one of my posts. I strongly suspect that the availability of the code card will depend upon the age of the vehicle. I doubt that I could get a code card for my 20 year old x244. If I had picked up about the code card earlier, I would probably have requested one. The owners of expensive imported MHs seen to be issued with the card.
