Sound system LCD colour

Hi, i was reading the thread about having blue coloured dials and things, and its something i'd love to have - however i wouldn't want to have it if i couldn't make all the inside leds the same colour, and the LCD display for my FIAT H3 radio is green, is there a way to change this merely through button presses (i had an old one which you could do that with but i realise this is unlikely to be standard) or could i swap the leds in the radio and that would change the colour? i assume the colour is given by a pair of leds....

Afraid not. iirc the colour is dictated by a layer of gel coated plastic. Button presses will not change the colour.

Best bet would be to buy an aftermarket stereo with a blue display

i wouldnt say its immpossible could be fun to experiment with try sticking some quality street wrappers in front of the green screen and you know the see through ones see what colors you can get out of first and then open up and see what you can do

I am willing to perform a selfless task of eating the chocolates so Ed can test the different colour wrappers, afterall, he's a bloke too so wouldnt be able to multi-task.

I`ve got JVC stereo which i can change the display colors any time i want and i can also have my movies playin on it while i listen to my radio/cd as it has `pict` technology which means i can download picts into my stereo,
i`ll get some pics of it at a later date as i`m thinkin of doin somethin so that it has the `boo` logo on it providin its ok with the forum owner/adminstrator

BRAVO, why settle for anything less.

ive got a jvc with pict technology aswell but i find there is nothing more anoying than dispalys on headunits there so distracting
