just remove all your pillars covers, then you roof handles and a plastic cap in the middle and at the rear and your done pretty much... then there is the removeal of the sunroof, just abot 100 bolts going around the edge and its off....sould be able to do it ina day if you put your mind to it mate! it aint hard just really time consuming!

Boot floor:

Door:
door1.jpg

Inner and outer skins!

Door card.
Boot sides.
Boot lid plastic trim.
Boot lid inner and outer skins.
DASH! Deaden the glove box, the fusebox lid, the ash tray, basically get your hand up under the dash and slap deadening on all the bits you can reach.
Steering column surround.
Rear quarter trim.

The last places to do are the floor and roof.

And the centre console (one between the seats)
And the centre of the dash
And the air vents

Its not THAT hard, just dull.

Surely you should sort your engine out first?

i will be doing that soon. i am looking for fog light pods to blend in to my bumper and then get a cold feed from that as i have no where else to put it

Tom,
Are those stuff; sound deadening panels from Wurth (Germany)?

Thanks.

I've pretty much done the whole car Paul,

But you don't have to do that to get the best results, covering your car in sound deadening like my self and tom isn't always the best option

if you want to be sparce in how much your using what you need to do is start by picking one metal panel say a door, then tap the panel, add a peice of sound deadening, and tap a little further down thw door, then apply a small piece of sound deadening, basicaly you're looking to hear a thud, keep adding little pieces untill when u tap the panel it thuds

so you'll end up with lots of square pieces say 4"x4" or 3"x3"

you may get away with 6 pieces on the whole of one door to get best effect will also keep the car lighter if you want to keep the 0-60 some thing like

hope all that makes sense

I've used dynamamt and dynamat extreme, i was give 4 rolls opf brown bread so i used those on the doors (very heavy stuff) Dynamt extreme is the best IMO

few pics of what i did bud

God god ribzz, look at them doors!
I swear I don't know how you found the will to do such a thorough job

I am going to cry! :(

I have lots of work ahead! my sound system is going to be pretty powerful! (2x100wrms subs) so i need to put the effort in now, the car is entirley gutted at the mo... i will be removeing dash soon aswell!

I am using aquaseal stuff from b&q for three main reasons... 1)it gets that thud noise you was saying (my old car was completly sound deaden so i know what you mean) and 2) because its light 3) its ****ing cheap!lol.....

So basically totally cover the car!!!

i picked up a roll when i got my mdf. £26 for a 30' x 1' roll. gonna do the plastics in the boot before i fit the install.

I want to die peacefully in my sleep, just like my gran did, and not screaming like her passengers were!

2x100w rms? You would be ok to use some plasters, they should add enough sound deadening ;)
