Does anyone know how to delete or change settings in Sophos Endpoint Security? I can't update Windows because its not being allowed through the firewall.

If its endpoint then its being managed by your sysadmin so you can't tamper with the settings, unless you are the sysadmin?

It is endpoint, but I don't have a sysadmin, and I am not it.
I downloaded it thorough uni (legally) maybe I have to talk to them about getting it off.

Are you still having problems with this?
If you downloaded it from your Uni, where is it updating from? The chances are, and if the Uni are following the Sophos Licence Agreement, that you are updating from the Uni and so there is every chance that they have pushed policies into the software. This means they could have set the Sophos Firewall to be a tad restrictive.

I am, haven't been back to uni since this started to go into the IT department. It is updating from the uni as well, and just about everything is locked down.
Okay, the first and simplest thing to try to make sure you get the latest Windows Updates onto your machine...disable the Sophos Firewall Service. Type Service.msc into a run command, scroll down until you find Sophos Firewall and then stop and disable the service.
Now do a Windows Update. Once its finished and rebooted, etc go back in and enable the firewall.
I'm just trying to find out which file you can alter to change settings in the firewall...we dont use it at work but I know most settings can be altered wven after being locked down.
