Hello, this is my first post here, interesting place!

My name is Tod, I'm from New Zealand, and I'm looking at taking delivery of a mk1 Bravo 1.6sx in the near future. The question I have is in regards to retrofitting the CD stacker. I see there's a lot of different threads on this, and I have seen the audio section of the guide. Excellent, however I haven't been able to find a thread on the difference between the Sony CDX-T69x and the Sony CDX-T69.

Is anyone able to tell me if these are both compatible, or is there a difference between the two that would render the Sony CDX-T69x useless.

Also, I note that the attached plug is for the Grundig unit, something I haven't yet beeen able to track down in NZ, what do I need to do differently if installing a Sony unit to the car?

Thanks in advance

Tod

Hi, there - the x just stands for X-plode, but they are just the same. You have to buy the adaptor tho to connect the fiat head unit to sony autochanger... looks like this

If it was me, as your buying a mk1 the autochanger lead should already be installed for an original grundig changer. Save yourself a lot of hassle and get one of them - if you can.

Usless you really want a Sony unit, then you will need adaptor, leads, and changer.

Cool, thanks for that. The Sony changer was more out of ease of purchasing, as opposed to a strong desire for Sony. I'll see if I can find a Grundig, but it's not as likely in NZ!
Cheers!

Well go for the sony but remember you need the adaptor as it's not a straight fit. Any Grundig changer should work, anything over 6 disc tho you wont be able to use the head unit buttons to select the disc.

Good luck!
