Some nob has booted off my wing mirror! HELP!

Hi all,

I came out from my work last night only to find my car's wing mirror had been cracked off and was hanging by the cables. At the moment it is kept in place by taking the inside panel of the mirror off and pulling it, with a big bolt holding the position... lol!

The exterior panel is all cracked and I don't know what to look for to fix it?

What do I need?

It's an 'R' 1.4 S (ex-Buzz's)

And yes mate, you're wee pride & joy has been vandalised MORONS!

Argh. Don't know if it makes a difference, but it's the passenger side.

you can buy a full new mirror from ere http://www.bodyshopwarehouse.co.uk/default.asp?go=8 or visit your local scrappys loads of them about easy 2 find and fit!

Look for a thread on here from last week called anyone needing spares, put on here by Andy I ordered a o/s electric door mirror, retail over £100 i got it (along with a few others of this site) for £10. Came
the next day, boxed and brand new. Theres a number there on the thread, give them a ring. My car is the 1.4SX without electric mirrors, put this on without any problems. Only thing is it is now adjusted by my finger, thers no wiring for it inside the door. But once its in position, rarely needs adjusting. Could have bought a switch and rigged up the wiring but its not really worth it!! Might do it one day though!!

Yesh, the hole plate is cracked - it looks awful.

I'm working at this place again on Friday, going to ask around for Witnesses...
