So after a year of unrelated setbacks I finally got it insured and took it for an mot. Needless to say 30 seconds before I set off for the mot centre the engine light came on, this was a first. It failed on engine light and brakes as its been stood for a long time so will change the lot also was told a pin seizes in the calipers?
Anyhow got cylinder 1 and cylinder 3 fault codes now, any common issues I need to look at first please?
Attached is fault codes, many thanks in advance.

Thank you, thing is it was idling fine then just before I jumped in seat to drive off I saw engine light on. I cleared codes, will check wiring.
Is wiring faults common on these then? I have the 3.0 F1CE3481M engine.

I have bought complete engine service kit, and new front and rear discs, shoes etc. Would someone please give me the correct torque specs for fitting these parts.
Fiat Ducato, Maxi 40, Multijet 3.0, 2015, x250, F1CE3481M engine, Minibus body.

So I'll have to take a guess as I went to Fiat dealer and he wasn't able to give me torque settings!!

This is what I plan to use:
Wheels (steel) 5 stud - 180Nm
Brake calliper carrier - 210Nm
Calliper Pins - 30Nm
Sump plug - 22Nm

Do these look correct please?

Hello,

2015 seem to be rather the x290, despite the VIN starting with ZFA250 :D

he wasn't able to give

I'd rather say he was not willing...

Attached the document taken from eLearn on the Natural Power version torques. All of them are Maxi / heavy chassis as far as I know. It also contains data on diesel engine versions.

Hello,

Thank you, I have no idea if this would be x290 or indeed what all that actually means, totally new to commercials.
It is a 4500kg, 7510 metre length if that helps.

I can't see the torque for the Caliper pins and assume the torque listing for calipers is the caliper carrier torque.

The x250 and x290 are FIAT's coded model names. It has been used for all models accross the FIAT group since years, but don't try to find a logic there :D The Italians messed with it as much as they could. Initially they used it with the slash inside, so that's where the x1/9 came from. Strangely they didn't give that particular model another commercial name (or at least it was not adopted by the market), which they usually did for other vehicles. The Ducato 2nd generation is reffered to as the x230, the x244 being in fact the 2nd gen facelifting model.

Normally the VIN started with the model code, but as I wrote earlier, the changes made to the Ducato in 2014 made them change the code to 290. But they kept the 250 in the VIN (starts with ZFA250* until now as far as I know), as for the vans produced between 2006 and 2014.

In some documentation they were referring to the facelifting models of the respective as x251 (since 2011) and x295 (since 2018?) :D

The quickest and easiest way to distinguish the x250 from the x290 is the front look (unless someone messed up and retrofitted the newer one to the older model). The bumper and the headlight differ:

As for the torques, bolt size should help defining which one is which.
