Usually one hooks into the door release and the other may be for the lock end.
Can you shine a torch and mirror up inside the door to look at the lock end.
How did the door cable come off usually the cables hook into place and unless a plastic clip or similar breaks they stay in place.
Check the door catch if it is in the locked /closed position the door will just bang against the catch and not close, if that is the case then you may be able to reach inside the door to activate the lever and release the catch to it's open position some then you can close the door.

Door wouldn't open from outside Just inside. . That's why door cover is off. If you pulled cable towards handle it opens. But cable has came off from other side. Can't see were to attach it

What can happen is the plastic part of the outside handle gets forced or is old and breaks so the release cable comes away.
If you are lucky it just wants hooking in again, but you need to get a good look inside the panel with a torch and a mirror, unless you have an endoscope camera.
